little things

Noelle is almost laughing. She makes this little noise that makes you think she's about to laugh. She gets really excited and moves her arms and legs like crazy. It's so cute. Michael really can get Noelle to smile. He is such a good dad and husband and I am so grateful for him in my life. Yesterday I was having a hard day and Michael got off work early and got me some roses. It made my day. Thank you Michael! I love you! Noelle doing tummy time. She really gets frustrated doing it, but we're working on it.

We bought Noelle a bumbo chair and I think she likes it. She is still short so her little legs just barely hang off. She's watching part of March Madness here :)

Progress!

Happy St. Patricks day on Tuesday! I really like this holiday for some reason. It's so fun in elementary school. I can't wait. I think I'm going to make Michael some green eggs and green pancakes.

This last week Noelle had her 4th month check-up. (Even though she will be 5 months on March 27th) I can't believe how fast time flies. I've decided when you really look back at it, time seems to go by fast. But while you're going through it, it seems to go by slow. Why is that? Anyway. Her stats were great!

Weight = 13 lbs 6 oz - 46th percentile
Length = 23 inches - 16th percentile
Head circum. was in the 72nd percentile

Considering she was a preemie these numbers are great. She is catching up! Within a few months her length went from the 1st percentile to the 16th. So although she is still a little shorty she is growing and doing so so good. As you can see her head circumference was a little big so the doctor had us go in for a head ultrasound. Well the results were good. Everything is developing the way it should be. So no worries. Apparently I had a big head when I was a baby and that's just how the Fullmer side of the family is. So we have big heads, so what. She is doing so great! To me her head looks perfect :). (She does have a flat area on her right side from sleeping on it more than the left side. If anyone has suggestions on how to fix that let me know. It seems that we have tried everything.) And a part from crying hysterically when she got her shots the appointment went really well. She was talking up a storm when the doctor was checking everything out. She no longer has to take an iron supplement and can be off of her preemie formula! I know these seem like minor details but to me and Michael they are HUGE and really show how much she is progressing. We are so proud of her! I think her teething came to a stop a little while ago, but it seems like it has started up again. I have a feeling her teething process will take a while. Great... She really lets us know when she is in pain. Again, THANK YOU children's tylenol. She is sucking on her hands like crazy and really wants to suck on her finger or thumb. She tries so hard to get it in there but can't quite get it all the way. She is so much fun and talks and smiles so much! Her personaliy comes out more and more each day! She is a stubborn, happy, bright baby girl and we absolutely love her!!

These are pictures of her sucking and chewing on her hands. She often has these wide eyes when I take a picture of her. I think it's because of the flash.

randomness

So I added songs to the blog. It's a bunch of random songs put together that make me happy. There are little jokes behind some of them. And some make me think of good times with my husband, friends, family, and roommates. Enjoy.

5 words...

NOELLE IS OFF HER OXYGEN!

I can't tell you how happy I am about this. I can't tell you how happy I think Noelle is because of this as well. Last week Noelle had another oxygen test and today we got the results! Oh happy day! No more patches on her face, no more crying because we have to put the nasal cannula back on her. I'm grateful for the experience though and am so grateful to Heavenly Father for watching over her and knowing what is best for her and our family. Thank you everyone for your prayers and support.

All Smiles

I am so excited it's March! I have been waiting for this month for a while. It represents a few changes in our lives:

1. Hopefully by the end of this month (or very early April) we will finally get to bless Noelle and take her to church. We haven't been to church together since before Noelle was born.
2. I will get to take her places other than just my parents house (RSV season will be over, yipee!).
3. It will soon be warm outside and I will finally get to be out of the house and go on walks!!
4. Noelle will hopefully be off her oxygen.

I have never been so excited for Spring and I'm so looking forward to the warm weather. Anyway. We've just had a very fun and interesting week. We spent the whole last week house sitting at my parents house while they went on a cruise. I'm so glad they got to go and they so deserve it! Taylor is 13 and old enough to take care of herself but my parents wanted us there to keep an eye on things and keep the dogs (they have 3) alive and fed. I'll have to say that it was nice to watch tv on their nice HD-TV and to have cable. I sure got my fill of "Jon and Kate plus 8" and "What Not to Wear." And 24 and American Idol were sure nice in HD. But it did make me grateful that we don't have cable yet or I might just spend way too much time in front of the tv. Noelle sure did get off of her sleeping schedule. Not that she was sleeping the whole night anyway, but she would not sleep in her bed at all. So she ended up sleeping a lot in her little bouncer. Thank goodness for that. We had fun there but we're very glad to be home.

Noelle has been smiling a lot lately. Every day it gets easier to get her to smile. She is so much fun and is still growing, growing, growing. She responds so well to us and is so alert. She loves playing on her back and making her baby noises. We are so grateful for her in our lives! Here are a few darling pictures of her :).
