advice?
I am thinking of starting to try to potty train Noelle on Monday. Just wondering if anyone has any tips to start or if I should be looking for signs from her, or something. I kind of tried a few weeks ago but it didn't seem like the right time. Maybe now is not the right time either. No idea. I really don't know what the heck I'm doing and am feeling a little overwhelmed at the task!

i have a good book to help
well linz here is what i did. Hallie was showing interest at about 19 months. She would take all of her clothes off and say potty potty and run into the bathroom. With many false runs to the bathroom I thought she wasn't ready for it yet. However at 20 months she actually went in the potty once and new what to expect and what it felt like. Then she kept asking to go. At 21 months i decided to just go for it. I got treats (skittles) and mini candibars (for #2) and of course Sesame Street panties. The day I decided to do it, I put her on the potty every 20 minutes or asked her constantly the whole day. I would give her a skittle everytime she went. She only had 2 accidents the whole day. She of course still wears a pull up at nap and a diaper at night. It really only took a few days to not have anymore accidents. I gave her a mini candy bar everytime she went #2. This worked like a charm. You just keep giving her treats until it starts to just be natural for her to go. Now it has been 6 months and we are still going strong even after Lainey came along she showed no regression at all. Just remember the FIRST WEEK IS THE HARDEST and to be patient!!!! Take an extra outfit and panties with you everywhere just in case! Good luck!
Attempt to be patient:) & Get a great treat basket!!
So, I have an idea. Just tell her that she will see her favorite aunt (me) on Sunday and she'll have to pee because she'll be so excited. Then you'll know she's going to go pee and you'll know to put her on the toilet and then it'll be a smooth transition into the life of being potty trained. Haha. Good luck with that!
What did the trick for Hallie was seeing another child use the potty. All of a sudden she wanted to try. Even after that she would just sit on the potty and never actually go. It wasn't until months later when we introduced princess pannies that she became really interested. Letting her pee on herself a couple of times was good because it helped her feel the sensation.
Good luck and she will eventually do it. I wouldn't stress.
