Our Walk 2011

Our March of Dimes walk was on Saturday and it was so much fun. We actually met our goal so thanks everyone who donated! It meant a lot to us. This year we did the walk in Salt Lake and it was at This is the Place National Park. There were so many people there. We registered, I got my t-shirt and we headed off to the pavilion with music, sponsor stuff, and food. One of the local news stations was there and there was just so much enthusiasm in the air and it was contagious. Noelle LOVED the music and just wanted to keep dancing and dancing. There were so many families there who had had loved ones in the NICU and it was very touching to be around everyone that in some way experienced a little what we had. Some of the children had far bigger problems than Noelle did and some didn't. It just made me grateful for this wonderful organization who gives so much love and support to all these babies and their families. There were so many people on the walk. Half of it was uphill and that was a little challenging for me but I did it. It was a great day and this is for sure going to stay one of our family traditions for years to come.
Here are some pictures from our walk

She just couldn't stop dancing to the music
The beginning of the walk
Of course I had to find a restroom
Here are some signs that were along the walking route

Quite the group of people!
She really enjoyed eating her creamie at the end of the walk
I made up some pins with Noelle's NICU pictures in them and we put them on everything, including our clothes

They had a big blowup slide there for all the kids, Michael went up with Noelle. This was the steep steps going up.
And this was the best I could do with them going down the slide
